The Vietnam War, what was it? Well to put it simply, it was a conflict in which the U.S. was against the spread of communism while communist nations such as the Soviet Union and China wanted to spread its influence. Leading to the separation of the north and southern parts of Vietnam. Which then ended in Vietnam being ruled under communism. Most of us already know this information whether you learned about it in APUSH or just word of ear. Yet many of us aren't educated in the aftermath of this war and just wars in general.
